TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – The man charged with setting fire to the Vigo County Community Corrections Center was in court on Monday afternoon.
46-year-old Jason Morales could be sentenced to 30 years in prison if convicted of charges of burglary and arson.
He will return to court on Friday (7-13-18).
Morales was already in jail on a parole violation when investigators served him with the warrant for these latest charges.
Morales has a past criminal history.
He was arrested in 1989, for arson and reckless homicide and was sentenced to 17-years in prison.
He was also convicted of sexual misconduct with a minor by a Vanderburgh County jury.
