Authorities Continue To Search For Man Missing In Wabash River

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – Authorities continue to search the Wabash River looking for a man who disappeared in the water last week.

Witnesses say a man in his mid-20’s with long hair jumped into the river near Fairbanks Park around 6:00 on Wednesday night.

A man claiming to be the victim’s father has contacted police so authorities do say they believe they know who they are searching for.

No names will be released until a body is recovered.

The search has been going on for five days and authorities say search efforts will be scaled back.
