Brazil Applies For Grants To Make More Downtown Improvements

BRAZIL, Ind. – The city of Brazil is looking to make more improvements to its downtown area.

The city is applying for a facade grant through the Indiana Office of Community and Rural Affairs (OCRA).

The nearly $600,000 would be used to clean up and improve the exterior of eight buildings.

Owners would have to cover 20% of the total cost of improvements.

There have been many recent improvements to the downtown area which is what people first see in town.

Applications for the grant are due in July and the town should know by fall is they are approved for the grants this fall.
