Burger Says Local Crews Already Headed South

INDIANA – Hurricane Michael is bearing down on the gulf coast and plans are already well underway to handle recovery efforts.

Rick Burger with the local Duke Energy office says that over 100 linemen and supervisors are already on their way to Atlanta to stage and be ready to provide help in restoring power after the storm passes. He said that 40 of those workers are from here in the Terre Haute and Wabash Valley area.

Hurricane Michael is expected to make landfall today (Wednesday 10/10/18) as a category 4 storm with winds of at least 113 mph.
