Card Skimmer Found On ISU Credit Union ATM

TERRE HAUTE, Ind.  – Officials at the Indiana State Credit Union say a card skimming device was found on one of their ATMs.

According to their Facebook page post, a “deeply-inserted skimming device” was found at the credit union’s ATM at their North 3rd Street location.

Credit union officials say that the device was attached to the machine between September 6th through September 14th.

Members that were affected have been notified.

If you are not a member of the credit union but think you may have used that ATM in that time frame, they say you should reach out to your bank.

Police are investigating but so far, no arrests have been made.

ISU Credit Union was informed that a deeply-inserted skimming device was retrieved from the automated teller machine (ATM) located at our branch on north 3rd Street. Once this was brought to our attention we began our own internal investigation and we have narrowed down the compromised time period to include the dates of September 6th thru September 14th. All ISU Credit Union members who were affected have been notified. If you are not a member of ISU Credit Union and believe you used this ATM during the time-frame stated, please contact your financial institution.

Be assured that we are working diligently with the authorities to catch the perpetrators of this crime. We have implemented additional ATM security measures to further protect your card usage.
