INDIANAPOLIS, Ind – Tuesday morning an Indiana House committee voted 17-6 to move SB552 on to the full House but with more changes.

Under the amended bill Spectacle Entertainment would be able to move one of the casino licenses in Gary to an inland location. The fee to do that has been lowered to $4 million from $50 million.

The second Gary license would then be assigned to Terre Haute and would be auctioned off to the highest bidding operator. The minimum bid would be $25 million.
The committee also reinstated the potion of the bill that allowed for sports wagering. The tax rate was set at 9.5% in committee.

Further changes could be made by the house.
