VIGO COUNTY, Ind – A change of plea hearing is set for later this morning for a Terre Haute man accused of shooting and killing a teen during a party last year in the Idle Creek Subdivision.

20-year-old Nathan Derickson is accused of killing 17-year-old Garrett Sands.

Vigo County Prosecutor Terry Modesitt said Friday a plea agreement was offered to Derickson, but the deal has not yet been signed by all those involved.

Derickson is currently scheduled to go on trial March 19 on charges of reckless homicide, two counts of criminal recklessness and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
