VIGO COUNTY, Ind.  – Just one day after the plans for a new convention center in downtown Terre Haute were reviled to the public, more progress on the project was made.

On Wednesday, the Capital Improvement Board met to approve several measures to move the protect forward.

Officials put some finishing touches on a contract with Indiana American Water to relocate some of their lines that go directly under the construction site.

They also continued to move forward on selecting the firm that would play a consulting role on the operation of the facility.

The Terre Haute Convention and Visitors Bureau, Terre Haute City and Vigo County continue to move forward on the contract that spells out just how and when each will pay their share of the $25 million project.
