Clay County Man Sentenced After January Stand-Off

CLAY COUNTY, Ind. – A Clay County man has been sentenced after a three-hour standoff with police back on January 9th.

45-year-old Michael Conley was arrested after he allegedly fired shots at police during the incident in the Clay County town of Knightsville.

In court Wednesday many witnesses testified on Conley’s behalf.

Conley was sentenced to six years in total. Three years will be served in prison. One year will be served on in home detention, and then two years on probation. Conley will get credit for the almost 200 days he’s already served.
