Clinton Woman Arrested For OWI After Nearly Causing Crash

VERMILLION COUNTY, Ind – Sunday (12/15/19) evening around 6:15PM, Vermillion County police were called by a concerned motorist, who saw some erratic driving.

Officers located that vehicle traveling across the river bridge into Clinton when the driver failed to yield to a southbound vehicle on Main Street and nearly caused a traffic accident.

Police arrested 59 year old Cheryl Breland of Clinton for operating a vehicle while intoxicated.

The Vermillion County Sheriff’s office reports that the result of the chemical test showed that Breland had opiates, benzodiazepines, and marijuana in her system.

She was taken to the Vermillion County Jail where she is being held on $9000.00.
