TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – At last night’s Terre Haute City Council meeting the council formed a committee to clear-up confusion and improve an ordinance regarding dance permits.

Councilwoman Martha Crossen will chair the group that will be made up of other council members, the city attorney, members of the city police department and members of the public.

The group will meet later this month or the first of next month and will look over the ordinance as it stands and discuss ways to improve it.

There has been some confusion and concern over how the ordinance is written, who it affects and how it is enforced.
