Damaged Docks At Fairbanks Park Being Replaced

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – Efforts are underway to repair the boat docks at Fairbanks Park.

The Terre Haute Parks Department removed the boat docks along the Wabash River on Thursday morning.

By having the Parks Department remove the four sections, the city saved about $5,000.

Ice flows on the Wabash River damaged parts of the dock over the winter.

The new dock will be one the parks department can remove from the winter every winter.

Some sections of the recovered dock will be placed in the lake at the Maple Avenue City Park while the rest will be sold to the public.
