The Indiana State Police say that Dec. 8 marks the fifth-year anniversary of an unsolved murder that took place in Sullivan County. 85-year-old Lowell R. Badger, of rural Sullivan County, was found dead in his home on West County Road 350 North, where it is believed that he was shot sometime between Friday Dec. 7 at 8 p.m., and 9:23 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 8, 2012. Detectives have since followed up on over 100 tips, and conducted almost 100 interviews in addition to searching nearby areas of land and water for evidence, but to no avail. A safe and Sony Bravia LCD television were taken from the home. The Indiana State Police and Sullivan County Sheriff’s Office believe that there is still someone in the community with information of the murder.
