FORT WAYNE, Ind. — Demand for paper straws means more jobs at Americas only manufacturer.

The announcement came Thursday from Aardvark Straws. The company says in a statement that the Fort Wayne facility should be operating in February and add 100 new jobs.

The company had said in August it could expand its workforce. Its products are an alternative to plastic straws, which are being banned or restricted in some places.

Aardvark paper straws are the only paper straws on the market that are made in the USA, use only FDA compliant, food-grade materials, and are marine degradable and compostable.
