Don’t Tell The Cops You’re “Blunt” Cruising, Don’t Offer Them $10k To Let You Go

VERMILLION COUNTY, Ind – Sunday night around 11:30 p.m. Vermillion County Police stopped a car on Old US Hwy 63 for going 50 MPH in a 30 MPH zone.

The driver, 19-year-old Kegan R. Benskin of Clinton handed the deputy a “blunt” and said that he and his passenger 19-year-old Maddison P. Willis also of Clinton “were just blunt cruising”.  Police found $10,297.00 in Cash, 122 Vape Cartridges containing THC, 24 Grams of Marijuana and paraphernalia inside the vehicle. During the search of the vehicle, Kegan offered the officers $10,000.00 to turn off their lights and let them leave.

Both were then arrested.

Benskin is being held in the Vermillion County Jail without bond since was on probation for OVWI and possession of marijuana.

Maddison has been released on a $7000.00 bond with 10% allowed.
