Driving 110 MPH On SR63 Leads To Drug Arrest

VERMILLION COUNTY, Ind – Vermillion County Police say that while working Operation Pull Over, they clocked a vehicle traveling southbound on State Road 63 just north of North Vermillion High School at 110mph in a 60mph zone.

The car was stopped and while talking with the driver 20-year-old Taylor T. Laneer 20, of Chicago, and her passenger, 20-year-old Brian J. Dean 20, of Champaign, they smelled an odor of marijuana.

K9 officer Zeus performed a quick sniff of the air and gave an alert to the presence of narcotics.

A small amount of marijuana and paraphernalia was soon discovered.

Dean was cited for possession of paraphernalia and marijuana and released from the scene.

Laneer was taken into custody on charges of Reckless Driving, Possession of Paraphernalia and Possession of Marijuana.
