LINTON, In. – Indiana Conservation Officers, Union Township Fire Department and Linton Fire Department were called out Saturday evening around 8:15 p.m. on the report of a car being swept off of the roadway by floodwaters Saturday night.

Emergency personnel found 44 year old Eric D. Blevens, of Dugger on County Road 1450 West, northeast of Wampler Lake, in Greene County.

He was on top of his car in several feet of water after having tried to drive through the floodwaters.

Crews were able to rescue Blevens from waist deep water and he was treated and released at the scene.
