TERRE HAUTE, Ind – Duke Energy conducted a safety class for Terre Haute and Vigo County workers yesterday ( Wednesday 7/24/19) to show what to do and not to do near power lines.

Some of those workers will come close to power lines in the normal course of their work and in emergencies.

Power lines that serve homes and businesses are not insulated like the power lines in your home and can be very dangerous .

Forty workers from the city’s street department and 50 workers from the Vigo County highway and wastewater utility departments took part.
