TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – What started out as potential bombs exploding has come to a peaceful conclusion.

Wednesday evening around 10:00 p.m. Terre Haute police and fire department were called to a home near 13th and Locust Streets on reports of a potential explosion.

While officers were investigating another explosion was heard just a few blocks away, near the 1500 block of 1st Avenue.

Police saw someone run inside a nearby home.

Officers eventually detained and questioned several people, but no arrests were made.

Police believe fireworks were to blame for the explosions.

No injuries were reported at either scene.
