AVON, Ind.–Jail records show two-time Indianapolis 500 winner Al Unser, Jr. was arrested and booked into the Hendricks County jail early Monday morning.
Records say the 57-year-old Unser was pulled over for operating while intoxicated in Avon at just after 3:20 a.m. Monday.
According to Hendricks Co. Sheriff Brett Clark, Unser is still being held at the jail as of 8 a.m. His bond is set at $300.
Unser is a driver coach for Colton Herta and Harding-Steinbrenner Racing.
