Former Vigo School Official Released From Prison

TERRE HAUTE, Ind.  – A former Vigo County School Corporation employee is out of prison.

Investigators say Franklin Fennell and Frank Shahadey stole thousands of dollars through contracts involving the Vigo County School Corporation.

According to online federal prison records, Fennell was released on Valentine’s Day.

Fennell was the facilities and transportation director.

He was convicted in 2017 of wire fraud, bribery and other charges for inflating invoices for work done for the school corporation.

Shahadey was a school resource officer and was also convicted in connection to the scheme.
