VERMILLION COUNTY, Ind. – Jail overcrowding is a problem for many counties in the area and across the state.
Next Tuesday September 24th Vermillion County officials will have a meeting to discuss the problem.
Vermillion County Commissioners and the Vermillion County Council will hold a joint meeting starting at 6:00 p.m. at the courthouse in Newport to discuss renovating and expanding the current jail.
They will also discuss project costs and funding options.
