Four Charged With Attempted Murder In Clay County After Overnight Shooting

CLAY COUNTY, Ind – Early Friday (3/27/20) morning Clay County Police were called when three individuals forced entry into a central Clay County home.

The caller told officers that he exchanged gunfire with the suspects, possibly wounding one, and the suspects fled the area.

A description of the vehicle was given to Brazil police who found and stopped the vehicle a short time later.

The two occupants inside were arrested.

Then two other suspects were located at St. Vincent Clay Hospital, one of which was suffering from a gunshot wound.

One suspect was transported to the Clay County Jail and the injured suspect Blake Braun, was transported to Terre Haute Regional Hospital for further treatment.

After being treated, Braun was taken to the Clay County Jail.

Police arrested four suspects:

 

18 year old Weston Havey of Reelsville
19 year old Preston Hasler of Indianapolis

 

 

 

19 year old Sierra Dewees of Filmore

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

19 year old Blake Braun of Indianapolis

 

 

 

They are all facing charges of Felony Attempted Murder and Felony Burglary.
