CLINTON, Ind –   Valley Professionals Community Health Center is the proud recipient of a $1,300 grant to be used to support between 20 to 25 Vermillion County residents in poverty who need assistance with purchasing medical supplies to monitor and self-manage their chronic disease and optimize health outcomes.  The grant was made available by the Vermillion County Community Foundation.

According to Dale White, CEO of the Community Foundation, “The medical supplies will consist of digital scales, blood pressure wrist cuffs, and pulse oximeter blood oxygen monitors.  Digital scales will allow patients to monitor BMI, blood pressure wrist cuffs will monitor blood pressure, while the pulse oximeter will monitor oxygen levels.  If patients experience symptoms or irregular readings through monitoring, they can provide this information to their primary medical provider for appropriate treatment.”
