VIGO COUNTY, Ind – In a special meeting this morning, the Vigo County Parks and Recreation Board named Adam Grossman as the new Superintendent of the Vigo County Parks and Recreation Department

Grossman will take over his new role Thursday, May 2, 2019.

He has served as the Assistant Superintendent since 2013.

He takes over for outgoing Superintendent, Kara Kish, who is leaving to take over the parks system in Cincinnati.

Kish says, “Adam is a committed, active, and passionate team member, as well as an excellent leader within the organization. He is the behind-the-scenes magic, the unsung hero, who propels the Vigo County Parks and Recreation Department. He is the force that coordinates the various pieces required to complete a job, and undoubtedly, sees the job through to its completion. His determination, his knowledge, and his leadership ensure that any project, often multiple projects at once, are completed on time, within budget, and meet the expectations of the public. The citizens of Vigo County will benefit immensely through Mr. Grossman’s service as Superintendent.”
