Heavy Rain Blamed For Sullivan County Accident

SULLIVAN COUNTY, Ind – Around 9:00 a.m. Thursday morning Indiana State Police and Sullivan County Sheriff’s deputies were called to a single-vehicle crash on County Road 300 North just west of County Road 300 West.

Indiana State Police say that 21 year old Jonathan Russell, of Sullivan, was driving his pickup, westbound on County Road 300 North, when the truck went off the roadway due to heavy rainfall in the area. 

Russell’s truck hit a telephone pole.

He was not wearing a seatbelt a received minor injuries from hitting the steering wheel.

Russell received a citation for failure to wear a seat belt.
