VIGO COUNTY, Ind.  – Firefighters were called out Thursday night just after 6:30 to a home on South Hutchinson Street.

It appears that the fire started in the garage.

The fire destroyed the garage, two cars and the back half of the house.

The family managed to escape unharmed.

Cold temperatures caused some problems for fire crews in battling the blaze.
