VIGO COUNTY, Ind. – If you are behind on your taxes in Vigo County you may be in for a surprise on your tax return.

County leaders are now using the Tax Refund Exchange and Compliance System.

If you owe past taxes to local government, this system lets counties intercept your state tax refund.

Vigo County officials will be required to inform delinquent taxpayers of their intent to notify the IRS.
