Improvements To Sullivan Waste Water System

SULLIVAN, Ind.  – Improvements are on the way to the waste water system in the city of Sullivan.

City officials say a 42-inch waste line that carries wastewater and storm water from near the hospital and everything north of city limits needs to be replaced.

The line goes the trough the Sullivan Elementary School property, and the golf course and ends at the wastewater treatment plant on the south side of town.

It is expected to cost over $6 million to complete.

Even though the project is required by IDEM, the city plans to wait until 2023 to deal with the issue.
