VIGO COUNTY, Ind – The Indiana Gaming Commission is ready for applications form potential operators for a casino in Vigo County.

On Wednesday the Commission set December 1st as the deadline for applications.

Spectacle Entertainment which owns the Majestic Star Casino in Gary has submitted a request to relocate gaming operations in Gary.

The City of Gary will have to approve and they will have to pay the city $4 million.

In announcing the deadline Wednesday, the commission noted voter approval is needed in a Nov. 5 referendum before any license can be granted.

Another casino operator, Las Vegas-based Full House Resorts, is considering making a bid for the Terre Haute license.

The voters must still approve a casino being allowed to locate here in a referendum vote in November.
