Terre Haute, Ind. – Wednesday (Aug. 29, 2018) Indiana State Excise Police arrested a Clinton man on felony drug charges while investigating a call about a minor with alcoholic beverages Thursday night in Terre Haute.
Around 10:00 p.m., officers stopped a vehicle at 8th and Hulman Street after seeing a passenger who appeared to be under 21 come out of a liquor store with a bottle of alcohol.
When officers approached the vehicle, they reportedly smelled a strong odor of both burnt and raw marijuana.
A search of the vehicle uncovered $2,139 in cash, a large bag and a glass jar with what was believed to be marijuana, a bottle of E&J Apple liquor, a garbage bag filled with 16 glass mason jars filled with more marijuana, a glass pipe, a scale and a notebook containing evidence of drug dealing.
18 year old Kegan Benskin, was arrested on multiple drug charges.
22 year old Dylan Moccio, of Clinton was cited for inducing a minor to alcohol and a third passenger was released at the scene.
