INDOT Shifting U.S. 41 Road Work To Overnight Hours

TERRE HAUTE, Ind.  – Good news for those that are fighting congested traffic along 3rd Street during the day. The Indiana Department of Transportation has heard you and says they are trying to “minimize the impact of road construction on the public.”

Most of the work so far has been done during the day but now most of the work will be done at night.

Construction for U.S. 41 starts at around 8 or 9 p.m. and goes until 6 a.m.

INDOT says whether it’s day or night if you come upon a construction zone the ask you to be extra careful.

Make sure you slow down, pay close attention to the road and the signs.

INDOT said they hope this project will be done by June.
