TERRE HAUTE, Ind – An Indianapolis man was sentenced Monday in connection to a fatal 2015 shooting.

22-year-old Khalil Davis was sentenced to a year in prison and a year on home detention on a charge of criminal recklessness in connection with the shooting death of 18-year-old Donovan Clinkscales who was also from Indianapolis.

The incident happened at a party on south 13 ½ street during Indiana State University’s homecoming weekend.

Davis was given credit for time already served while awaiting trial.
