Investigation Leads To More Drug Charges Against Vigo Jail Inmate

VIGO COUNTY, Ind – A three week investigation into the attempted trafficking of narcotics and tobacco into the Vigo County Jail ends in the charging of a current jail inmate.

Jail Commander Charles Funk announced Sunday that 35 year old Jeramie Vicars Goings who is a current inmate of the Vigo County Jail has been charged with Felony Attempted Dealing in Methamphetamine.

Police received a tip that Goings was attempting to have meth and tobacco brought into the jail where he would then share with other inmates.

Goings was currently being housed on multiple narcotics charges.

Police may release more details later.
