Jail Study Continues

VIGO COUNTY, Ind – A jail study in Vigo County is being done by RJS Justice Services. That firm was hired by the county to figure out how to fix the overcrowding problem in the current jail.

RJS Justice Services is planning on taking public input and they don’t know when their study will be done.

WTHI TV reports that they are looking at adding between 420 and 460 beds for inmates. They also still need to figure out how much the project will cost.

Another public forum to answer public questions and gather community input could come in the next two to three weeks.
