JASPER, Ind – Jasper, Indiana Mayor Terry Seitz announced his resignation Thursday morning so that he can accept a senior staff position with U.S. Senator-elect Mike Braun.

Seitz was elected to his current term in November 2011.

His replacement will be selected by a Republican caucus and that person will fill out the reminder of the term which runs through the end of 2019.

Braun has asked Seitz to help him set up an engagement or outreach office.
