Local Company Drops Curbside Recycling

BRAZIL, Ind – A local disposal company is cutting back on their recycling service.

Wallace Brothers Disposal and Recycling based in Brazil, sent a letter to their customers informing them they will no longer offer curb side pick up for recycling.  They will still allow drop offs from customers at no cost.

They change in pickup service is due to cost and they aren’t the only ones.

Recently, Republic Services announced they will no longer be accepting glass in their recycle stream.

ISU’s recycling center still accepts most items for recycling except for televisions and batteries.

They do ask to sort their recycling into the provided bins at their facility on North 9th Street.
