Local Police Honor Those That Paid The Ultimate Price

service

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – On Thursday the Terre Haute Police Department and the Vigo County Sheriff’s Office held a joint memorial service to honor those in law enforcement who paid the ultimate price and were killed in the line of duty.

It’s an annual service at the Terre Haute Police Department headquarters.

The names of those killed were read, followed by a 21-gun salute.

With this service and police week coming up next week this service had even more meaning with the most recent loss of Officers Rob Pitts, and Officer Brent Long.
