GREENE COUNTY, Ind. – More information is becoming known about the man arrested in Greene County Thursday morning after police say he barricaded himself inside his home and was later found hiding in a crawl space.

The Greene County Sheriff’s Office sent deputies to a home in Marco to arrest Jesse Wayne Stephens when his probation was revoked for violating that probation.

Stephens was released from prison in 2012 after serving time for killing his wife and then dumping her body in an abandoned coal mine in 2000.

As part of his plea deal he was required to lead police to where he dumped the body.

Police also arrested Michelle Sanders on drug charges.

She was in the home where they found Stephens.

Police say they found meth and paraphernalia inside the house.
