VIGO COUNTY, Ind – Vigo County Commissioner Jon Marvel told the Trib-Star Wednesday that soil analysis of old International Paper property on Prairieton Road shows no significant problems.

The site was chosen by county commissioners for a new Vigo County jail.

Some Terre Haute City Council members are reportedly waiting a written report before acting on a request to rezone the county-owned property for a jail.

The City Council could vote on the rezoning of the property at tonights meeting which starts at 6 p.m. in City Hall.
