PARKE COUNTY, Ind – Monday evening around 8 a.m. Parke County Deputies were called a residence on the east side of Raccoon Lake about an unwanted guest.

Police say that 30-year-old Shawn Halfacre, was in his mother’s residence without her permission and he had an arrest warrant for Dealing Methamphetamine out of Clay County.

When deputies attempted to arrest Halfachre he fled but was apprehended at a neighboring home where he surrendered to a K9 handler without incident.

A Parke County Deputy received a minor injury to his hand during the brief altercation and was treated for a laceration at Saint Vincent Clay.

Halfacre is held in the Parke County Jail on Resisting Law Enforcement Resulting in Injury Level 6 Felony and Battery on Law Enforcement as well as the Clay County Warrant.
