EDGAR COUNTY, Ill. – A ground breaking was held Wednesday for a major expansion in Paris, Illinois.

North American Lighting is adding 55,000 square feet to the current factory on the south side of Paris.

North American Lighting is the leading tier one supplier of vehicle lighting to auto makers in the United States, Canada and Mexico.

The company produces a full range of products including forward lighting, signal lighting, rear combination lighting, and accessory lighting.

Company officials say the rain has pushed the actual start date of the project back. They hope to start moving dirt in the next few weeks and finish the by December.

NAL will be adding 50 more jobs to the square footage.

They also say they have some positions they need to fill right now.
