New Committee Formed To Look At Justice Issues

VIGO COUNTY, Ind – Vigo County commissioners Tuesday approved a new 31-member panel that will look at trying to fix county jail issues and all aspects of the local criminal justice system.

The committee will also look at potential alternatives to incarceration.

The committee will implement a plan proposed earlier this year by RJS Solutions and JCI Justice Concepts.

Initial co-chairs of the committee will be William Watson, director of the county’s community corrections program, and Rob Roberts, chief deputy prosecutor.
