TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – Construction is underway on a new dock at Fairbanks park.

This dock is not to replace one that was destroyed by ice last winder.

This dock is to specifically accommodate the Wabash Valley Crew rowing club and is being built because of their efforts.

It is specially designed for rowing with a six-inch clearance off the water line so that the outriggers of the oars can easily get up to the dock.”

The Wabash Valley rowing club is hoping to spark interest in the sport.

Purdue University and Indiana University both have rowing clubs.
