TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – The Vigo County School Board hasn’t decided on who the next superintendent will be yet but whoever it is will be well paid.

The Corporation has unveiled a potential contract for the new superintendent that will run for three years and have a starting pay of $173,000 for the first year and then $175,000 for years two and three.

The proposal also includes allowances for moving expenses, a car, and a cell phone, retirement plan and health insurance plus 30 days vacation which means the total value is well past a half million dollars.

There will be a public hearing on the contract on May 31st at 5:00 p.m. in the administration building on Wabash Ave.

The school board hopes to announce its pick for the position by the end of May.
