VIGO COUNTY, Ind – The new Vigo Virtual Success Academy appears to be an early success.

A total of 50 students are now enrolled and of those, 22 are new to the district.

Officials say that other students may yet enroll as the program becomes better known.

The virtual academy seeks to serve students in grades 9-12 that for various reasons find a regular school setting doesn’t fit their needs.

The program is free to students but they must provide their own internet access and device.

Lab space is available at the Booker T. Washington School.
