TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – A Sunday afternoon house fire on Shields Avenue near 28th Street.
The home reportedly belonged to an elderly couple.
They were not home, but their son was, and he helped to get all their pets out except one.
Investigators have not yet released what they believe is the cause of the fire.
It is reported that the nearest hydrant fire crews could connect to was a few blocks away
