One Man Arrested After Monday Night Shooting

TERRE HAUTE, Ind – Terre Haute City Police were called out Monday night around 8:00 p.m. to the 1000 block of North 8th Street on the report of a shooting.

Officers say that 48-year-old Lewis Johnson and the victim had gotten into a fight outside a residence. At some point Johnson ran into his home and retrieved a gun. He returned and fired four shots at the victim striking him in the foot.

The victim was taken to a local hospital to be treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

Johnson was arrested on charges of possession of a firearm by a serious violent felon and aggravated battery.
