PUTNAM COUNTY, Ind – One person was seriously hurt in a two-vehicle accident in Putnam County this morning.

The Putnam County Sheriff’s department says that around 7:45 a.m. this morning a pickup truck was southbound on U.S. 231 at the Putnam County Fairgrounds, when the driver went left of center a collided with an Indiana State Highway truck hauling maintenance equipment including a cement mixer.

The driver of the pickup was seriously hurt and was taken to the Putnam County Hospital. His name and condition have not been released.

The driver of the INDOT truck was not hurt. His name has also not yet been released.
