One Seriously Hurt In Motorcycle Accident On I-70

CLAY COUNTY, Ind – Friday afternoon around 12:20 Indiana State Police and the Clay County Sheriff’s Department were called to a motorcycle crash on Eastbound Interstate 70 near the 23 mile marker.

Troopers say that 54 year old Brian S. Parks, of Sparta, Illinois, was riding his motorcycle lwhen for some reason, the motorcycle went off the north side of the interstate and into the grassy median.

Parks then made an effort to drive the motorcycle back onto the highway but lost control of the bike and it rolled  several times.

Parks came to a stop in the passing lane of the interstate whild the motorcycle continued to roll, eventually coming to a stop on the north side of the highway.

Parks was not wearing a helmet and was airlifted to Terre Haute Regional Hospital with serious head injuries.
